Growing in Gratitude— Hello 30🎂
Intentionally living a life of gratitude is the first and important step to take to improve the quality of our lives.
Even if we don’t think so, it may also be one of the most difficult.
Cultivating the habit of being grateful and having a healthy outlook on life is how we can live and lead longer and happier lives instead of always complaining.
Many times we forget how important it is to be grateful.
No matter how hard we try, many issues will be beyond our control in life. What we can do, is control how we react to the whims of life.
Recently, I read an article that says gratitude is an internal purification mechanism which allows us to clean up all negativity we have inside us.
Intentional gratitude helps us appreciate the little pleasant things that we overlook or don’t usually appreciate. Today, I’m intentionally grateful. I look back and count my blessings – every single one of them.
Today is my birthday and I am grateful for the journey so far. 2019 has been the year of extreme growth. And I’m better for it.
I’m immensely thankful to be alive today. To witness the 30th chapter of my life is nothing short of amazing. God has been too good to me and my family.
I’m grateful for my parents, husband, children, siblings, in-laws, friends and even my co-bloggers who have quickly become dear friends.
This year, I have learnt to be able to accept and effectively put constructive criticism to good use. By putting people’s criticisms on the scale and measuring them before considering whether to learn from them or leave them.
I have become a stronger, wiser and better person overall.
“As with all commandments, gratitude is a description of a successful mode of living. The thankful heart opens our eyes to a multitude of blessings that continually surround us.” – James E. Faust
Today, I’m counting my blessings even though they are innumerable😍😍 – it’ll take me a while and I’ll be smiling throughout; I can’t just begin to explain how grateful I am. Jesus is so good to me and I remain forever thankful for His love.
Happy birthday, Bukola. I’m grateful for you.
1When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.
